It is something that happens all over the world, always has & probably always will & that is that "Haters are gonna Hate."
I'm pretty sure I do not need to explain this that much, but if it needs to be put any more simply - what I'm saying is there are always gonna be knob-ends who waste their time and energy whinging and complaining about anything or person they can.
Obviously this happens A LOT here in the land of the long white cloud. The AB's can never do right, even if they win this year at the World Cup, I can hear the haters. "Well, it took them long enough, should have won it everytime." Or if, God forbid, they are unsuccessful: "I told you Henry should have been fired," or maybe "SBW- it's his fault for leaving the dogs."
Look at the flak Jonah Lomu copped. The first worldwide international star of the game, a freak hampered by illness, more World Cup tries than any other player, yet still people said "He can't tackle though ... and he has a shit fringe..."etc etc. The All Whites won the Halbergs last week, and everyone was all over them through the cup. Months later - Haters are hating.
Music is another example. A band is cool when no one likes it, as soon as they have success: "Oh yeah, they are shit now - used to be good." My point being that no matter what success or failure happens, people are always waiting to chop ya down, which i reckon is gay.
The latest thing that has flared up the hate in the country is our very own "Win a Wife" competition. There have been Facebook pages set up, outrage internationally and so on. Most of the haters of the promotion, in my opinion, have been getting the whole point wrong unfortunately, which is where most of the debate/trouble has come from.
Terms like "commodification of women", and "human trafficking" have been thrown around on various Facebook pages, which couldn't be further from the truth. Sure, the title is cheeky and maybe slightly misleading, but The Rock has always tried to have a laugh, which I think is the point most "haters" have missed here.
The simple fact is, we had the idea to try and find a dude who had no missus a lady. This lead to a company jumping in with us, and now we will send a dude to meet a woman from the Ukraine. If she thinks he is a penis, she doesn't have to come back.
Now as it stands we wait for a special "announcement" at 5pm - what will it be - will the "haters" win?
