I told you so!

Last Thursday, after Jono told the story of the German guy who blew up this apartment after fixing his air mattress with a flammable solvent, we asked for Rock listeners to call us and share their stories of ‘When They Accidentally Blew Up Something’. One listener in particular must have misunderstood the request, and instead called us to share his recipe for ‘How To Make A Bomb’.

That became the latest example of what my role is within our on-air partnership. That is, ‘to be the controlling element in regulating which content Jono is allowed to put to air’.

Subsequently (and against my advice at the time) the bomb recipe call went to air. And now the powers that be have decided we crossed the line - and as a result have punished the instigator (Jono) by temporarily revoking his broadcasting license for 10 days. Translated, that means Jono is on holiday for two weeks. Leaving me to flail about the airwaves between 3 and 7pm solo.

Will Jono learn from this? Probably not – He thinks it’s funny and edgy.

Will he do it again? No doubt he will at some stage – He’s an idiot.

Man that's a little oops. They never see the funny side of anything. Our chemistry teacher taught us how to make booms back in the 6th form. Also taught us to make alcohol to altho he got in trouble for that. Hear ya when you get back.

Oh Jono! You've got to listen to Robert - he is the brains of the outfit after all. Sometimes I do wonder where the "off" button is on Jono - doesn't he ever stop and think "I wonder if its really sensible to play this?" Seriously, sometimes I have to cringe at the stuff that's on the afternoon show. Perhaps a break was a bit over-due. Love the music and love Robert.

Isn't it about time that Jono grew up , to be honest he is a few sandwhiches short of a picnic, Rob's excellent and we get more of a laugh from Rob than we do Jono. Put someone else on with Rob that actually has brain cells that work properly and know when to stop being a complete D**KHEAD. At least Rob has a brain that works

What a crock of shite guys,stooping pretty low for ratings are we,best way to lift the profile is "create" a scene,which has been done.Can remember a station saying they suspended their jock for comments,they did this Monday arvo,then on Friday morning lifted said suspension,the jock was broadcasting from a crane in downtown Wellyville.Hence suspension was part of the station rebranding or something.
Keep up the work guys,but try to be original.
