Well let me clarify, he was my old boss - about 10 years ago.  Yep - I worked for The Murdoch News Corp Empire.

It was pretty weird seeing ol' Rupert and James Murdoch sitting at the Criminal Hearing with their paper New of The World facing allegations of phone hacking.  Although their company News Corp owns alotta companies, I'm sure they dont know the half of what goes on day to day...

I worked for James Murdoch in London - he owned the record company I worked at - Mushroom Records.  For a 26 year old TRILLIONAIRE  he was a pretty down to earth guy.

There were a couple obvious differences between us and him;  he was younger than half of his own staff; we all wore jeans and converse, he only wore suits;  we'd get the tube to work - he'd turn up in a chauffer driven car.   His driver would sit in the car at the front of the office ALL day and wait for him. And every hour or so James would make him a coffee, take him a glass of water, or take him the newspaper.  He was constantly running out the front door with something for him,  always concerned his driver was happy - seemed very sweet of him ;-)

Once when Rupert Murdoch's secretary rung up, I answered the phone and she said "I have Rupert on the phone for James" my fingers felt like giant sweaty sausages when I transferred the call, terrified I would disconnect what felt like the President of the United States!  They were a real nice family to work for, too bad one of their companies News Of The World has tarnished their name so badly..

Anyways - hope you got all your votes in for the Rock 1000 - starts Monday!  I hope my favourite song, Led Zep Thankyou makes atleast the Top 500, haha.

Tracey xx

That was a disheartening read. Often the media only portray one side of the story and portray only the bare minimum. They decide what their readers should think and they print it. It would make such a better read for a journalist to truly do her homework and create a complex story portraying their subjects as the people that they are. The truth is always better than fiction. Media often forgets that.

He lied to the British parliament. He hacked the phones of parliamentarians. His newspapers ruthlessly exploit and bully the weak and vulnerable. Yeh. He's a great guy. I'm sure Hitler gave his driver the odd sandwich as well. So what?
