Neil Young and Crazy Horse return for McCartney's big night

Neil Young and his most famous backing band Crazy Horse will make their first live public appearance together since 2004 at Sir Paul McCartney's upcoming MusiCares Person of the Year gala in Hollywood.

Young and his bandmates recently reteamed to work on a new album and they will honour McCartney with a rare performance on 10 February.

They will join acts including Coldplay, Foo Fighters, Alicia Keys and Katy Perry at the charity event, which Eddie Izzard will host.

Young and Crazy Horse last hit the stage together on their Greendale tour in 2004.
