The end is near.
Only a few days to go at work and the team is struggling big time to be honest. Especially after The Rock's xmas 'do, it was just another typical work 'do really with nudity (sadly male), a really dodgy santa (Robert Taylor) and noise control.
Roll on 2012.
Because my memory is just about shot I've had to google "news events in 2011" to see what happened this year. Here's some of the highlights.
1. Andrew Mulligan joins the Rumble. Yes a massive event in 2011, right up there with the assassination of Bin Laden. Like Bin laden, the Americans took out our previous team member Paul Ego and dumped his body out to sea. Nek minit, Mulls arrives. He has been a revelation, obviously nowhere near as good as Paul Henry on Radio LIVE but they have a bigger budget than us.
Mulls would have to be my man of the year, just behind the AB's and Happy Feet.
2. The Double Down Burger. Remember this? Yes it was this year. Apparently it was the most googled food in NZ this year. It packed a 600 calorie heart punch, and consisted of two pieces of fried chicken wrapped around a slice of bacon, cheese and the Colonel's own special sauce. Speaking of special sauce, Bryce's swimmers have been pretty dormant this year, not much movement apparently....more like yoghurt.
3. The icelandic volcano. A massive volcano erupted in Iceland ..oh no that was last year.
4: The Royal Wedding. Bryce said he would rather slam his old fella in a car door than watch this, but he ended up watching it with his missus who has his old fella and his tiny balls in her purse. Mulls and his missus threw a royal-themed party and Mulls dressed up in a wedding dress.
Leah cried. I felt the world came together on this special day, too be honest most probably didn't give a crap until they saw Pippa's arse on the screen and then it was game on. Mulls got really carried away and ordered a replica "Pippa Middleton bridesmaid outfit" for his next special occasion.
So all in all pretty good. Oh, we also won the Rugby World Cup...and that's all that really mattered this year.
