Folden

The Folden Build

Mental Health Foundation
www.mentalhealth.org.nz

Due to the high value of the current bids for the Folden and the high profile of this vehicle, we've made the responsible decision to not tour the Folden around NZ. We cannot risk damage or thieft of the Folden prior to it's change in ownership on Thursday 6 May. We apologise for this.

The Folden is solden!

Yep, The Rock team will be sad to see it go, but the Folden has now been auctioned off for the tidy sum of $62,700. Proceeds will go to the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand.

It's been a wild ride, but what a great way to send off Robert and Jono's mechanical Frankenstein.

Check out how the auction finished up

It started as a crazy dream ... went through weeks of controversy, setbacks, sleepless nights, and bomb threats ... but here it is at last. Introducing Robert and Jono's Folden!

Typical Kiwis - always got to knock someone elses effort. Can't say I've seen anyone do any better than this, let alone for free! Good cause too. It was always going to be controversial, but thats the whole idea! I'm a Holden man through and through, but I reckon this is pretty damn choice. And for those that think it should've used different parts - you had the opportunity to vote and put forward your ideas. You also have to realise that you can't just fit any old parts together to make a car, it's obvious it had to be safe, driveable and desirable and I think these guys have done that. Good on yas.
