Critics are blasting Jennifer Lawrence's latest movie for having too much sex, violence and nudity
Jennifer Lawrence is getting some heat for her new controversial film Red Sparrow, largely because she's nakey. A lot.
Yep. As bizarre as this sentence sounds, not everyone is into nakey Jennifer Lawrence.
One critic from the Village Voice has said the film is essentially; "a desperate quest to get one sexy woman very naked."
Really not sure what the problem is here.
A desperate quest to get one sexy woman very naked.
"In short, Jennifer Lawrence goes to whore school and learns to get naked and pick locks." the Village Voice continued.
Shots fired Village Voice.
The New York Post said the film "resembles countless bad sexploitation flicks'.
Lawrence openly discussed her nudity in the film with Entertainment Tonight, and it sounded like she bloody loved letting it all hang loose.
"Everybody made me feel so comfortable that I probably at a certain point started making everybody else uncomfortable.
"Because I'd be like, 'I don't want the robe. I'm hot. I'm eating.' Everybody's like, 'She needs to cover up.'"
What we would give to be on that set...
Oh, we forgot to tell you about the plot, all this naked Jennifer Lawrence distracted us... Could that be what the critics have an issue with?
Anyway, the film follows Lawrence as a Russian ballerina who witnesses a brutal murder and is given the option of die or go to 'sparrow' school.
The sparrows are young, mostly ex-military women trained to use seduction in order to defeat enemies.
Sounds much watchable to us. It's in cinemas now. Check out the trailer above.
