WATCH: Ronda Rousey announces new wrestling career by unexpectedly jumping in the WWE ring
The Ronda Rousey rumour mill has been on overdrive re. the former UFC poster girl's career. What the shit's going on Rousey? Now she's finally let out what's up... WWE.
After she was annihilated by Holly Holm in 2015, and Amanda Nunes the following year, Rousey's UFC dreams seemed to be dashed, and it looked like she'd turned her attention to Hollywood - staring in Furious 7, Entourage and a number of other productions.
Looks like World Wresting Entertainment is a happy medium.
With no prior hints on social media, to the soundtrack of Joan Jett's 'Bad Reuptation', Rousey made an unexpected entrance at the Royal Rumble, an all female event on Sunday night.
She joined Japanese wrestler Asuka and women's champions Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair in the ring.
And that's that, she's in the WWE now. Check out her entrance video above.
Speaking to ESPN about the career move, Rousey said: "This is my life now. First priority on my timeline for the next several years. This is not a smash-and-grab; this is not a publicity stunt.
"When I first met with Triple H, I told him, 'There are other things I can do with my time that'll make way more money, but I won't enjoy nearly as much.'"
Good luck Rousey!
