One year on we pay tribute to the legend, Chris Cornell

Chris Cornell 18/05/2018

Today marks the first anniversary since Chris Cornell's tragic death  - The bomb that devastated the music (and wider) world.

The iconic singer took his own life hours after finishing a Soundgarden gig in Detroit.

While Cornell's traumatising death continues to effect the rock community, today we celebrate his impressive and kaleidoscopic 52 years of life.

Last year our audio guy, Joe Baxendale put together the above compilation, an epic tribute to Chris Cornell and all the musical enrichment he gifted the world (from Temple of the Dog and Soundgarden, to Audioslave and his solo work).

Today is also a day for remembering how precious life is. Reach out to your own mates. Make sure they're ok. Remind them that you're there.

After losing Cornell, and Chester Bennington shortly after, we were humbled when an emotional Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins opened up to Bryce and Rog about suicide and depression last August.

Have a listen below to one of the rawest and realest coversations we've ever been a part of.
