Game of Thrones should be treated like a one night stand. A bloody good time but don't invest any emotions into anyone, because you'll probably end up getting hurt.
Easier said than done when you've been watching these characters for the better half of a decade (Game of Thrones, not your one night stand, or you need help). But you've gotta stay detached. You never know who's going to get beheaded or thrown throught the moon door next.
After a relatively quiet bout on the death front last season, recent comments from an HBO executive have all but confirmed we're going to be losing some fan favourites in season 7 and 8.
According to Esquire, Senior VP of Drama Francesca Orsi was in a conference when she was asked about what it was like being present at the read-through of the final episodes of Game of Thrones. This is what she had to say:
It was a really powerful moment in our lives and our careers. None of the cast had received the scripts prior, and one by one they started falling down to their deaths.
Orsi added that during one of the table-reads of the final scripts, everyone stood and clapped for 15 or 20 minutes.
“It was amazing,” she said. “By the very end, everyone looked down and looked up and tears were in their eyes.”
Whatever happens, we're going to have to wait 'til 2019 to find out. In the meantime, here's a story about how the Sansa Stark actress, Sophie Turner learned all about oral sex on set.
