Trolling the Westboro church is nothing new to Dave Grohl and The Foo Fighters as it's been an ongoing gag since 2011, but this time the band tried to get the church dancing.
The band dressed up as the Dee Gee's (their alter ego version of the Bee Gee's) and performed their cover You Should Be Dancing from their album 'Hail Satan'. The protesters held signs saying "God hates your idols" and "God hates pride". Dave Grohl preached to the crowd,
“Ladies and gentlemen, I’ve got something to say, because you know what? I love you. I do!"
“The way I look at it, is that I love everybody. Isn’t that what you’re supposed to do? Can’t you just love everybody? ‘Cause I think it’s about love!"
“That’s what I think. We’re all about love, and you shouldn’t be hating. You know what you should be doing? You should be dancing,”
The Foo Fighters then started singing and although the hate group was pretty pissed, the woman at the front looked to be having a good time. Dave even noticed saying,
"I saw your mama dancing!"
