According to Newshub,

The billionaire brewer behind the company which makes Corona beer has made everyone living in his hometown millionaires.

Antonino Fernández Rodríguez grew up in the Spanish hamlet of Cerezales del Condado. He died in August, and in his will bequeathed more than €200 million of his fortune (NZ$300 million) to the 80 people living in the hamlet - around €2.5 million per person.

Bar owner Maximino Sanchez told newspaper Diaro de León they have never had that kind of money before.

"I don't know what we would have done without Antonio."

Mr Fernández grew up in the small, poverty-stricken village before moving to Mexico and joining Cervecería Modelo in 1949.

He later chaired Grupo Modelo, which produces Corona, the top-selling beer from Mexico and one of the five top-selling beers worldwide.
