Dave Mustaine fired his producer because his name was Dave

Micajah Ryan has been around the block, working as an engineer on projects with Guns N' Roses and Megadeath and has revealed some name drama that went down back in the day.

Appearing on The Double Stop Podcast, Micajah revealed that he was brought into the 'Deth fold by Mike Clink, who was pulling a double duty with Megadeth and Guns N' Roses at the time.

Another guy Clink brought in was Dave Jerden, but that didn't last long.

Apparently in the middle of a recording, the engineer said this is how it all went down;

"[Mustaine] and Mike decided to hire Dave Jerden to come in and produce [the album]. Dave came in and after a few days, Dave Mustaine, the quote was, 'I think there's too many guys named Dave around here, we're gonna get rid of one of them.'

And Dave Jerden got fired. Poor bloke.
