Tool have announced the producer of their new album

After a decade-long wait for the follow up to 10,000 Days, Tool have officially begun recording their new record, and shit damn, we haven't been this excited since they bought Sals pizza to New Zealand.

Now, guitarist Adam Jones has revealed they've picked the one and only Joe Barresi, or 'Evil Joe Barresi' as they tend to call him, to be their producer.

Jones joked they were hoping for Phil Spector  but  "he has other conflicting work obligations."

Baressi was credited for the engineering and mixing of 10,000 Days, so we can rest assured the record is in capable hands.
