Bad Wolves 'Zombie' becomes the first rock song to go platinum in 2018

Bad Wolves just became the first band to score an RIAA platinum certified rock song in 2018, with their cover of the Cranberries' "Zombie."

The track was released just three days after the tragic death on Cranberries frontwoman Dolores O'Riordan.

Dolores was set to feature in their cover, but passed away on the day they were set to record the tune.

Heartbreaking, but bloody beautiful hearing her music live on.

On the tracks platinum status, Bad Wolves frontman Tommy Vext has said: "We are deeply humbled and overwhelmed by the continued success of our rendition of ‘Zombie,’"

"For many artists, reaching platinum status in and of itself is a dream come true. But the greater story here is YOU. All the fans on every single continent--without your passion and enthusiasm none of this would be possible.”

Congrats lads.
