Ol' mate McCartney's just scored his first no.1 record in the US for the first time in 36 years. Our friends over at Newshub report more on this story:

Sir Paul McCartney's rolled back the years, picking up his first no. 1 album in 36 years.

McCartney's newest effort, Egypt Station, went top of the Billboard 200 list almost four decades after Tug of War did the same in 1982.

Egypt Station was released on September 7 and has gone on to sell 147,000 albums across America.
