Today marks the day Linkin Park's music video for arguably their most iconic track; 'Numb' has hit one billion views on YouTube.

The song was originally uploaded in 2007, 11 years later it has now joined the exclusive billion-view club. This puts 'Numb' in the same ranks of streaming popularity as roughly 100 other tracks.

This is for you Chester.. Wish you were here to see this...

A lot of nostalgic comments have been left in tribute to the late frontman Chester Bennington over the last few hours.

""You can’t be afraid of people willing to hurt you, cause if you fear life, then you will never live." - Chester Bennington Thanks for this Song and Congratz to 1B" said YouTube user Sammy Kay.

"Just before 1 billion.. Anyone else??? This is for you Chester.. Wish you were here to see this..." said another.

The band posted about the achievement today on their facebook page.

"Our music video for “Numb” just passed 1 BILLION views on YouTube.
Thank you for all the support over the years!"
