Frontwoman and rock icon Amy Lee expects to release a new Evanescence album in 2020, nine years after the band burst onto the world stage with their self-titled debut.
The band had mentioned earlier that 2019 would be spent writing new material, but this is the first time Lee has put a timeline on the band's plans.
Recently, Lee spoke to SiriusXM about new music.
“This is sort of a creation year for us,” Lee said. “We’re playing a few festivals and some headlining shows — a little bit, but not too heavy.
She said that fans will have new music “hopefully next year.”
