The wait for new Tool music might soon be over
Out of absolutely nowhere, Tool guitarist Adam Jones took to Instagram to tease what could be a new song from the band's highly-anticipated upcoming album. Check out the clip and one amazing riff below:
Jones wrote "*Getting ready for Sunday 🤘🏽🔥💣" and added two noteworthy hashtags, "#MakingDreamsComeTrue" and "#TheFastingIsOver".
Some fans have pointed out that this may not be the first time we've heard this riff.
Jones appears to be playing a new song known as 'Descending', a jam Tool confirmed they've teased live three years ago. However the riff has certainly evolved a lot since we heard it last. See an early performance of 'Descending' below:
Hours after Jones' post, Tool frontman Maynard Keenan hinted on twitter that the band could play some new music on an upcoming tour which starts on May 5 in America.
Tool are due to perform at a number of American music festivals in May, before embarking on a European tour in June.
New music might not be too far away. But it look like we'll hear it live before an album is released.
