It's been a long time between drinks, but Puddle of Mudd have just announced their first full album packed with original material is on the horizon.
The band just dropped a new video teaser with the heading: "Puddle of Mudd New Release Coming VERY Soon 2019" and a series of interesting hashtags hinting at what kind of music they have in the pipeline, including "#metal #grunge #heavymetal #punk #rock #countryrock #poprock #softrock #punkrock"
Pretty wide-ranging, huh. You can also hear a brief snippet below:
The band's lead singer Wes Scantlin has had a difficult decade dealing with a series of public meltdowns and legal woes. But in July last year, he announced he had been "11 months sober" and Puddle of Mudd intended to hit the road and retun to touring.
In December, he told KATT:
We're coming out with a new record and it's really badass. We worked our butt off on it, and I can't wait to get it out. Coming soon.
Now we know he wasn't kidding, and before the album drops you can catch up on their back catalogue with the release of 'Puddle Of Mudd - Life On Display (Behind The Scenes)' on YouTube.
