Megadeth's Dave Mustaine diagnosed with throat cancer, will continue new album like a boss

Rock News 18/06/2019

Megadeth's Dave Mustaine has announced he's been diagnosed with throat via Instagram, but it sounds like he's going to battle through this horrible 'obstacle' like an absolute boss.

"I’ve been diagnosed with throat cancer. It’s clearly something to be respected and faced head on - but I’ve faced obstacles before," Mustaine posted.

I’m working closely with my doctors, and we’ve mapped out a treatment plan which they feel has a 90% success rate. Treatment has already begun.

Understandably, Mustaine and Megadeth have canceled all the band's 2019 tour dates, but promised fans "Megadeth will be back on the road ASAP."⠀⠀

While Mustaine continues his treatment, it looks like the whole band will continue working on their new album which has been in the works since 2018.

"Meanwhile, Kiko, David, Dirk and I are in the studio, working on the follow up to Dystopia – which I can’t wait for everyone to hear."

What a boss. We wish you all the best and a speedy recovery, Dave.
