First new Ozzy Osbourne album in a decade to be released in January 2020

Ozzy Osbourne 30/10/2019

It has been a bloody tough 2019 for Ozzy Osbourne, but according to his wife Sharon, he's currently back on the mend and set to release a new solo album in January 2020.

Sharon was a guest on SiriusXM where she provided an update on her husband's health and his new album.

"He's getting there," she said. "He's just finished an album, the album's coming out [in] January."

Sharon also said a recent song 'Take What you want' with pop artist Post Malone helped Ozzy through a difficult year. "It's doing great, it's on Top 40 radio and it's climbing every week," she said. "It's been a huge boost for him because he felt literally worthless." You can watch the full interview below.

Last month, Ozzy confirmed he had finished his album - calling it his "greatest" work yet.

"This is my first recording in a studio for ten years, so I do feel a bit out of touch," Ozzy told The Sun.

"Music goes straight online these days and that’s quicker than it takes me to write a text. It’s all about downloads and streaming now. What the fuck does that mean? What’s Spotify? I thought it was a skin problem where you woke up spotified."

Osbourne finished by saying, “The album was all finished in four weeks. I said to Sharon that I didn’t feel like I’d made an album because we haven’t ended up screaming at each other.”
