'Ordinary Man' was the first ever album Ozzy Osbourne's made completely sober

Rock News 26/02/2020

In a recent interview with Zane Lowe from Apple Music, Ozzy Osbourne opened up about his sobriety.

He told Lowe that Ordinary Man, which is his first solo album in a decade, is also the first album he's made dead sober.

Ozzy admitted that he was still using drugs around the time of Black Sabbath's '13', but is glad that he's now not using drugs.

The last album, I wrote some of it stoned... I quite like being sober now. 'Cause at least I can remember the fucking thing I did yesterday.

He went on to say:

I thought it was the drugs and the alcohol that made it all work. But it's not true. All I was doing for years is self-medicating 'cause I didn't like the way I felt. But then this is the first album I've co-wrote and recorded fucking completely sober.
