KISS's manager Doc McGhee has announced that the band's movie biopic is in the works and it's looking like it'll be released in July 2021, just before the band retires.
McGhee first spoke about the biopic in November last year, saying it was "basically [about] the formation of Kiss and how that came about".
Recently, McGhee appeared on Rock Talk with Mitch Lafon to have a discussion about everything now in the works. He announced that they're currently in the middle of making the biopic.
He said “It’s scripted. I can tell you it’s with Mark Canton...". Canton has produced films such as 300, Rise of an Empire, Immortals, and The Last Witch Hunter. McGhee went on to say "...he’s a great producer and a really good guy."
McGhee is hoping that a company will be behind the biopic in the next week so the script can be finished, "and hopefully by the time we end we'll have a movie finished for July of next year."
