Dave Grohl accepts 10-year-old drummer’s request to challenge him in drum battle

Dave Grohl again proving his is one of the best humans on the planet.

More proof that Dave Grohl is one of the best humans on the planet.

A couple weeks ago, 10-year-old drummer prodigy Nandi Bushell challenged Dave Grohl to a drum battle - to which the Foo Fighters star replied.

Nandi posted a video of her performing Everlong on drums, along with the caption,

"My dream is to one day jam with Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins and all the @foofighters! Mr Grohl I would love to have a drum battle with you! I LOVE Everlong it’s really hard to play as it’s so fast but so much FUN!!!"

And her dreams were met, with Grohl replying on Foo Fighters Facebook page with a five minute video of him smashing his daughter's drum kit, with a message back to Nandi.

He wrote,

Hey Nandi Bushell! Challenge accepted. Haven’t played these songs in a loooooong time.....thanks for the inspiration!!! Your move!!!

Your friend in rock,
Dave

(Thanks to my daughter, Harper for letting me borrow her drum set)

He then challenged her to learn "Deadend Friends" by Them Crooked Vultures, which he played drums on. Which Nandi accepted.

How awesome would that feel, having one of your heroes see your video and reply back to you in the best way possible.

Finally something good to write about in 2020. Good on ya Dave.
