Linkin Park has reached a huge achievement this month - their debut album Hybrid Theory has been certified by the RIAA for reaching the 12 times platinum threshold in the USA.

The achievement was reached on September 11th, ahead of the album's 20th anniversary next month.

The record initially reached 10 million, A.K.A. the diamond mark, back in 2005, and reached 11 million back in August 2017. Now, the album has sold more than 12 million copies since its release in 2000.

It's no secret that the band aren't shy of musical achievements. Back in July, their 'In The End' music video reached 1 billion YouTube views.  Their 'Numb' music video surpassed 1 billion YouTube views in November 2018.

Plus, bassist Dave "Phoenix" Farell revealed back in April that the band had been "working up some ideas" for new music.

Let's also not forget that you can pre-order a Hybrid Theory: 20th Anniversary box set here if you like. Releasing on October 9, the box set celebrates the 20 year anniversary of Hybrid Theory.
