Metallica is officially the first act to score #1 songs on the Mainstream Rock chart over four different decades in the US, Billboard reports.
The band's latest performance of "All Within My Hands" with the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra has reached the top of the charts, making them reach this huge achievement. You can watch that performance above.
In 1996, the group topped the list with "Until It Sleeps", and again in 2000 with "No Leaf Clover". The third decade was 2017 with "Atlas, Rise!", bringing us to 2020 with "All Within My Hands".
The Billboard report also notes that the band has had 10 #1 songs on the chart overall - three in the '90s, four in the 2000s, two in the '10s and now one in the '20s.
This makes them in a five-way-tie with Disturbed, Tom Petty, Shinedown, Three Days Grace, Van Halen, and Godsmack who have all achieved a double digit #1 sum.
Speaking of Metallica, make sure you keep Rock Nights with Mike loud to score some S&M2 merch.
