While wildfires are still raging across South California, lucky firefighters in one town received a surprise barbeque when Foo Fighters frontman and all round GC Dave Grohl stopped by their station yesterday.
Firestation 68 that is based in Calabasas, California, posted a photo last night of Grohl and a few firefighters, captioning it with "It was awesome to get a visit tonight from Dave Grohl of the @foofighters. He also treated us to some of his own @backbeatbbq. Thanks, Dave! It was excellent!"
Grohl had previously talked about how he loved barbequing during the run-up to their last studio album release, "Concrete and Gold". It was Grohl's way of passing time when the band went on a long hiatus after their lengthy tour of their 2014's "Sonic Highways.
“We’ve never taken that much time off," he said. "I barbecued for months, man. I was doing eight briskets a week. It got a little dark.”
