Check out Britain's first 225-year-old porno magazine 'Miss Fanny Hill'

We're not usually one for history news, but the discovery of Britan's first printed porno has us in stitches.

'Experts' have just uncovered a copy of 'Memoirs of the Life of Miss Fanny Hill, The Career of A Wonan of Pleasure', believed to be the first porn magazine published.

The racy title was published in 1749, a time where people described a vagina as a "nethermouth" and "cloven stamp of female distinction".

The ol' shlong is described as a "sturdy stallion" and "furious battering ram", while the sack is referred to as "treasure bags of natures sweets".

Telling the tale of a teenage orphan who travels to London to work as a prostitute, the magazine was reprinted over 200 years later in the 1960s when it was deemed too extreme for British readers. So much so that more than 20,000 copies were seized
 from publishers by police.

One steamy extract from the mag reads: "He was exceedingly fond of female society, but on such occasion was continually labouring under the delusion that he was only a school boy.

He was delighted when he could find a lady who could prevail on herself to humour this conceit.

This particular copy is now headed to auction were its expected to fetch up to £60 (NZ$114) - not too bad for a piece of porn history.

If you want to catch up on some hard-core 1700s reading, the full copy can be found on the University of Oxford's Text Archive
