Blokes with brown or blonde hair with ginger in their beards have confused us for years. But scientists have now answered that burning question, why is your beard always ginger?
If we're going to get scientific, redheads have two copies of the gene that produces red hair from both their mother and father.
But to have a red beard, you only need to have one copy of the gene for it to show through on your face.
But wait it gets even more complicated...
Some guy's parents won't have either of the copies of the gene yet they still have red show through in their beard. This happens when it is passed through generations and appears in the younger generation so that ginger beard could be your great grandparent's fault.
Guess you can't fight genetics, so embrace that ginger beard.
