We did not see a Foo Fighters Horror-Comedy-Film coming, but here we are.
Foo Fighters have announced they will star in a full-length-feature film that they filmed in secret, Studio 666, based on a story by frontman Dave Grohl.
The film will be a fictional take on the events that occured while the band was recording their 10th album Medicine at Midnight at the haunted Encino mansion.
The official synpsis reads:
"In STUDIO 666, the legendary rock band Foo Fighters move into an Encino mansion steeped in grisly rock and roll history to record their much anticipated 10th album.
"Once in the house, Dave Grohl finds himself grappling with supernatural forces that threaten both the completion of the album and the lives of the band."
In a press release, Grohl said,
Be ready to laugh, scream, and headbang in your popcorn. Studio 666 will fuck you up.
Grohl and his bandmates Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel, Pat Smear, Chris Shiflett & Rami Jaffee will all play themselves in the film, and the cast also includes Whitney Cummings, Leslie Grossman, Will Forte, Jenna Ortega and Jeff Garlin.
The film is set to release in cinemas on 25th Feb, 2022, and our fingers are crossed that it'll hit NZ cinemas around this time.
