Fans at the FIFA World Cup face up to seven years in jail if they have a one night stand

"Sex is very much off the menu"

FIFA World Cup fans may face up to seven years in jail if they get caught having a one-night stand in Qatar.

The ‘sex ban’ comes from some bloody strict laws in the country - specifically one that bans sex outside of marriage.

An anonymous police officer told the Daily Star that no fun shall be had at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

“There will be no partying at all really. Everyone needs to keep their heads about them unless they want to risk being stuck in prison," the source continued. 

FIFA and Qatar - where drinking (and being drunk) in public is banned - officials seem to be pretty serious about the lack of a good time.

The chief executive of the Fifa 2022 World Cup, Nasser al-Khater, said:

“The safety and security of every single fan is of the utmost importance to us. But public displays of affection are frowned upon, it’s not part of our culture - and that goes across the board to everybody.”

The Qatar Supreme Committee for the World Cup doubled down on the strict laws, saying:
