'American Horror Story' might have swooped up a few impressive shiny statues over the years, and scared a number of viewers so severely they've suffered a case of code brown in their pants... But that all seems to be forgotten in the light of the new Netflix show 'The Haunting Of Hill House'.
The show has critics balling in up in terror, before begging for more.
Some have even called it “the first great horror TV show ever”.
“Netflix’s The Haunting of Hill House is the first great horror TV show ever. The series, based on Shirley Jackson’s novel of the same name (which also spawned some really subpar movies simply titled The Haunting), pulls no punches when it comes to not just scares, but also the brutality it puts its characters through, physically and emotionally. It’s not for the faint of heart, and it’s fucking fantastic.”

Big call GQ. But you've definitely spiked our interest.
The show is based on a 1959 novel of the same name, written by Shirley Jackson. Essentially it's about a bunch of kids and the trauma they suffered living in a haunted to f*ck house, told largely through flashbacks.
The series is set t ohit Netflix on October 12. So, your Halloween spook is here. If you've got the balls to stomach it...
