Killing Joke frontman found in Africa

Jaz Coleman has been found in a remote part of Africa two weeks after he was reported missing.

Coleman's bandmates launched a public appeal for the singer's whereabouts on 31 July after repeated failed attempts to contact him following the posting of a mysterious statement, reportedly written by the Love Like Blood singer, in which he hurled criticism at The Mission and The Cult and announced he was abandoning a planned tour with the groups.

The vocalist resurfaced on Sunday and a statement on his official Facebook.com page reads, "Jaz Coleman, alive and kicking in the Western Sahara. To the relief of family and friends, Killing Joke Frontman Jaz Coleman appeared... from his retreat in the Western Sahara bemused by all the fuss of his disappearance...

"Coleman had apparently been living a nomadic existence for the last month in the desert in order to concentrate on finishing his two current projects."

The 52 year old also denied uploading the unauthorised message on Killing Joke's social networking account, cancelling the upcoming U.K. tour with The Cult and The Mission, insisting the post was the work of an impostor.

But he has confirmed Killing Joke will no longer be a part of the tour - because of the drama the post has caused.

His statement continues, "(It) looks like this has caused a right ding dong and (I) feel its (sic) impossible to continue this tour under the circumstances."
