'Do you want a hiding?': Dan Hooker shares crack up near-fight with rappers at 50 Cent concert

They backed down pretty quick after a Google search.

Kiwi UFC legend Dan "Hangman" Hooker recently joined The Morning Rumble to chat about the latest in his career and life,  including the altercation he got into at Auckland’s 50 Cent concert late last week.

At Spark Arena, he and his girlfriend, Isabella, found themselves in an unexpected confrontation with some mates of the opening act, Jeremih.

"Here's a funny story," Hooker began. "There were friends of the opening act, Jeremih, and some rappers from the States standing in front. My missus, oblivious, was having a good time and spilled some of her drink on [one of their] shoulders."

"They turned around, and we're going 'whoah, what? what?' all upset about it," Hooker explained.

Being a gentleman, Hooker switched seats with his girlfriend and apologised to the guys.

Barring up again, "They said, 'No, you need to grab her, and she needs to apologise.' I said, 'I'm not telling my missus anything, do you want a hiding?'"

The room cracked up in laughter as Hooker continued: "They started going over to security angry, and then they pointed at me, and then security just laughed and walked off.”

"They told them to get lost. They told them, 'If I were you, I’d go straight back to your hotel, and I’d stay there for the night ’cause you don’t wanna see that man walking ’round.'"

Security then told the group to get their phones out and Google him. After doing so, the rappers promptly backed down.

As they bloody well should.

If they didn’t, they might’ve ended up like our mate Mitch, who reckoned he could taken on the legend.

Mitch tried to take on the “Hangman” a whopping three times but got put to sleep on his third attempt to escape the leg lock.

You’ve gotta respect the young gun for trying.
