Everything you need to know to prep for Fleetwood Mac's Auckland shows

Get set for some massive shows.
25 August 2022 2:05PM

Fleetwood Mac are heading back to New Zealand and are performing four shows in Auckland's Spark Arena.

It will be the first time the new Fleetwood Mac line-up of Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Stevie Nicks, and Christine McVie along with newcomers Mike Campbell and our very own Neil Finn will perform on our shores and we are so, so excited to see them!

We've complied a handy need-to-know guide to help you prepare for Fleetwood Mac's epic show.

Getting there:

Spark Arena is located on Mahuhu Crescent at the edge of the CBD. It is both accessible and highly visible from Beach Road and Quay Street and within easy reach of public transport, hotels, and restaurants.

For the most up-to-date information on road conditions and closures that might effect your trip to and from the Arena, please visit the Auckland motorways closure page and the NZ Transport Agency homepage before you travel. Also very useful is the AA Roadwatch website, with live data for motorways and local roads.

Public Transport:

Bus:

Britomart station is a short 10-15 minute walk from the Arena and is on all major bus routes. Stairs and an entrance at the eastern end of the Britomart platform will bring you out onto a walkway that will take you to Britomart Place, which leads to Beach Road and Mahuhu Crescent.

Alternatively the Beach Road stop on the Inner Link Bus Route is approximately 100m from the Arena. The Link Bus runs continuously 7-days a week.

Train:

Britomart Station is handy for the venue; just a short 10-15 minute walk along Customs Street East or Britomart Place and Beach Road. Late rail services often run for our larger events; please check with Auckland Transports' Events page nearer the date.

Uber:

Spark Arena has teamed up with ride-sharing service Uber to offer a free first ride to all new Uber users. For more on how to access the free ride, please click here.

Accessibility:

Seating:

Wheelchair users have access to specially designated spots in row V in the lower bowl, accessible via foyer elevator.

Parking:

There is often high demand for mobility parking for events at Spark Arena, so it's best to check your parking options early, and allow yourself plenty of time to get to the show on the day.

Venue seating plan:

You can view the seating plan for Spark Arena by heading to this link.

Show Times:

Doors Open - 6:30pm
Show Start - 8:00pm
Show End - 10:45pm

*There is no opening act for this show so please be here in plenty of time. Timings are approximate and subject to change. Please use these as a guide only.

Camera Policy:

If your camera is a point and shoot that fits into your jeans pocket, you will be fine. iPads, GoPros, large cameras with detachable lens and the likes will not be allowed passed security.

Food & Drink:

The Tuning Fork will be open from 5pm, serving a selection of freshly-prepared meals, supported by full bar service. The Tuning Fork is on the right hand side of our main plaza, all welcome.

Food in the arena foyers will include ‘grab & go’ options that you can take into the show, including hot chips, hotdogs, pizza, ice creams, donuts and more.

Licenced bars will be available serving a selection of soft drinks, beer, wine and mixers. Free water coolers are available around the arena, too.

Merchandise:

The merchandise caravan will be open from approximately 5:30pm selling official Fleetwood Mac items.

Security:

There will be security wanding and/or pat downs, plus a full bag search on entry.

If you want to avoid extra queues, leave your large handbags and backpacks at home. If you bring a bag larger than 30cm x 30cm you will need to leave it at our external bag check area for the duration of the show. Bottles of any kind are not allowed into the venue for this show - we have a range of drinks for sale and free water stations available on both levels of the arena to keep you hydrated.
