If you think you're coming off a messy weekend, this might make you feel a little better.
A woman has trashed an Oamaru liquor store over the weekend and given staff a massive spray after sinking three 1.5l bottles of scrumpy.
According to the Otago Daily Times, police officers were called to a disorder incident at Super Liquor Oamaru around 5pm after a woman had reportedly become aggressive when she was refused service because of how drunk she already was.
During the initial incident she reportedly threw an eftpos machine and signage around the store. She eventually left, but quickly came back to give the staff a few choice words.
Turns out she wasn't alone on her drunken mission. She waas joined by a 39-year-old woman, who - according to police - is the one who drove them to the liquor store to pick up more alcohol AFTER they'd each downed three 1.5l bottles of scrumpy.
The woman behind the wheel was charged with drink-driving and immediately disqualified from driving for 28 days, while the 35-year-old was detained by police and later released with a formal warning.
What a blowout.
