Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins dies at age 50

Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins has died at age 50.

Foo Fighters official Instagram account released a statement today, sharing the devastating news.

“The Foo Fighters family is devastated by the tragic and untimely loss of our beloved Taylor Hawkins,” the band wrote on Facebook on Saturday AEDT.

His musical spirit and infectious laughter will live on with all of us forever.

“Our hearts go out to his wife, children and family, and we ask that their privacy be treated with the utmost respect in this unimaginably difficult time.”

The cause of death was not given. The Foo Fighters were scheduled to perform in Bogota on Friday night (March 25) at the Festival Estero Picnic, with a Lollapalooza Brasil headline appearance scheduled for Sunday (March 27) in Sao Paolo, Brazil. (source: Loudwire)
