These Kiwis have combined cricket and beer to make the 'ThirstBat'

Some genius Kiwi blokes have made a Kickstarter page for what we reckon could be one of the greatest things to happen to summer.

Torben Landl and Matt Taggart have combined two of our favourite things: beer and cricket, to make the ThirstBat.

Basically, this thing is a cricket bat with a beer bong inside it, which is bloody cool if you ask us.

Here's what the page has to say:

"Batter’s up! Smash that home run or glorious six and your thirst with this epic backyard innovation. The ThirstBat is a fully functioning bat and drinking vessel that will transform your backyard, park or beach fun.

Designed to bring the best out of your game, the ThirstBat is a fully functioning bat. Its sleek design, mirroring that of the real deal, is made of durable yet lightweight, food grade plastic. The ThirstBat also features a sturdy grip at the handle, enabling that perfect swing or cover drive.

The ThirstBat is so more than just a bat - it's a drinking vessel, perfect for holding and consuming your favourite cold beverage. Simply crack open your beverage using the inbuilt bottle opener, and pour in your liquid goodness. The valve at the tip of the bat opens and closes to regulate the flow of the liquid.

Position it to your mouth and smash that thirst"
