Mothers all over Australia were tricked into buying dog treats for their kid’s lunch boxes. Woolworths confused a dog treat: ‘Scooby Snacks’, with a kids snack after being placed in the same isle as other snacks. The packaging features the Scooby-Doo character, which at first glance made the ‘pet food only’ label pretty easy to miss.
Sydney mum Tania Toomey brought up her concerns with the supermarket chain on Facebook after realising she’d put dog food in her kids lunch boxes.
The treats promoted, bone strengthening, skin and coat health. It’s unclear at this stage if Tania’s kids gained any unwanted fur or any other dog-like attributes.
