Sometimes you just have to do what you have to do to get your fried chicken.
And that's been proven by one now-legendary Gold Coast man, who was spotted manoeuvring what appears to be a full-blown tank through a KFC drive-thru.
The anonymous Nerang local was captured making the unusual trip for his fried chicken by Michelle Skelton Fay, who was in a drive-thru at the neighbouring Hungry Jacks.
She posted photos of the unfamiliar sight on her Facebook page, saying she "loved it".
Sharing the tale with transport industry publication Big Rigs, Ms Skelton Fay said she thought the man driving the tank must have been "an awesome guy".
"I thought how cool that would be to be able to do that. It was a pretty clever idea," she said.
"In Nerang anything is possible. In that KFC drive-thru I have seen a guy who got fed up waiting so he got out and started washing people's windscreens."
Military experts told The Daily Mail the vehicle was likely to be a Daimler Ferret Mk 2, which was used by the Australian army in the 1950s.
The vehicle is believed to be worth about $64,000.
