If you struggle to get out of bed in the morning, you're more intelligent than everyone else

When the alarm goes off and your eyelids say no, do you ever find yourself questioning whether you really need a job? Well-acquainted with the snooze button? Constantly getting the side eye from your colleagues as you shuffle into work late?

Well, well, well, have we got some news for you. Even if your boss disagrees, you're better off for it. Infact you're waking up smarter, more creative AND happier than the early-bird-catch-the-worm greasers.

Researchers Satoshi Kanazawa and Kaja Perina conducted a study called 'Why Night Owls Are More Intelligent' and found people who hit snooze and fight the societal pressures of rising, display better self-agency.

You're giving your body what it needs rather than what the rest of the world tells you should be doing. In the wise words of Rage: "Fuck you, I won't do what you tell me."

Although you'll probably still come to work, and apologise for your tardiness, so you can keep your job.

And if you're not convinced, an earlier study found people who went to sleep after 11pm and woke up after 8am lead happier lives with higher salaries...

Gummon NZ employers, give the people the sleep they need.
