Korean soccer club apologizes for filling stadium with sex dolls

funny shit 19/05/2020

As sports games are slowly starting to pick up again, some stadiums are attempting to replicate that pre-pandemic crowd feel.

The Korean soccer club FC Seoul has had to apologize after using sex dolls rather than regular mannequins to fill up their empty stadium during a soccer game.

Fans watching the game begun to notice that these dolls weren't the regular ones you'd see at the mall, pointing out that these dolls had particuarly large breasts and nipples. The 'mannequins' were dressed in club shirts, but some were also holding signs with the name of a popular live streamer, reportedly who the dolls figures were inspired by. So that was also a bit of a dead give away.

After some embarassment from the football club leading to an investigation, they claimed that the dolls weren't exactly sex dolls, but shouldn't have been used..

The club took to Instagram to make an apology. They wrote:

"We would like to apologise to the fans, we are deeply sorry about the mannequins that were seated during the May 17, 2020 match. However, we would like to clarify that while these mannequins have been made to look and feel like real humans, they are not for sexual use - as confirmed by the manufacturer.

We had them supplied by a company named Dalcom, which claimed they are clothing mannequins. We double, triple checked that they are not for sexual use.

Prior to supplying them to us, Dalcom had these mannequins returned from its streamer management label. In this process, they had been given names of the streamers. That is the only reason there is an association with the streamers. We failed to check up on this part and that is indeed our fault. We apologise."

So they're apparently not sex dolls, even though the manufacturer makes sex dolls.. We'll let you make up your mind on this one.

The whole ordeal is a bit embarassing for the club, as well as the K League which is the top professional soccer league in South Korea.

Still, the whole thing is prettttty funny.
