System of a Down frontman Serj Tankian is currently making a documentary about his music career and activism, he revealed on his Instagram profile.
Posting a shot of himself from his first foray as a musician, Tankian said the unseen image was uncovered while he and his team were collecting material for the upcoming film. The image is a throwback to Tankian's first band called Forever Young.
Tankian's grabbed national headlines after the Christchurch terror attack when he told the Turkish leader to 'shove it' for threatening Kiwis after the attack.
We’re making a music documentary film about activism and my career so we’ve been looking for old recordings, photos, videos," Tankian said before appologising for the 'poor quality' as it's from an old video.
Today’s #throwbackfriday comes from my first music gig as keyboardist for a band called Forever Young.
A title and release date have not yet been revealed.
