Taylor's been teasing an album for a while now, revealing he was "putting a band together" last year to make his first solo album. He recently appeared on an interview with Halestorm's Lzzy Hale, for the We Are Hear On The Air segment, where he made the announcement.
Taylor said quarintine was "the perfect time" to make the album, which he recorded "in secret" with members of his touring band - Jason Christopher, Dustin Schoenhofer, Zach Throne, and Christian Martucci.
"And picking those guys was the perfect combo, 'cause we all just love the same kinds of music - the same kinds of rock, the same kinds of punk, the same kinds of metal, the same kinds of everything - and we all were able to incorporate those influences into everything."
In total, Taylor says he recorded about 25 songs in about two and a half weeks, and says they are ones that have been written over the years but didn't fit with either band.
An official date hasn't been set for the release of the album yet, but we can assume it won't be too far away.
