WATCH: Wellington lad gets on stage to play drums with The Killers and crushes it

Lucky dude!

The Killers’ performed in Auckland last night on their ‘Imploding The Mirage’ tour, and shit they killed it.

The tour was originally announced in 2020 when COVID first halted touring, so it was a bloody treat to witness the band back on our shores since their 2018 Australasian tour.

The highlight of the night would've definitely been right before the band were seemingly going to rip into their closing track, 'Mr Brightside.'

But before they started the closing track, frontman Brandon Flowers spotted an audience member, who was holding a sign asking if he could play drums for For Reasons Unknown

That lucky audience member was Wellington musician Taylor Johnston.

“Switch it up, we’re doing Reasons," Flowers said. "Get this guy up here!"

Johnston then found himself onstage and absolutely nailed it, check out fan-shot-footage up top.

According to NZ Herald, it’s not the first time Johnston has played the drums with the band.

When they were last in NZ in 2018, he played onstage with them during their show at TSB Arena in Wellington.

What a talented musician and lucky dude!
