I went to GnR for the first time and it was fkn awesome

As a GnR Live virgin, I was absolutely blown away.

The old boys have still got it!

If you’re headed to Guns N’ Roses show in Auckland tomorrow night, f*ck me you are in for a treat.

Firstly, for context, I’m Raynor, a 23 year old gal that started working at The Rock a few years ago. I didn’t really grow up listening to rock music, and obviously wasn’t even alive during the golden eras of rock. But holy shit, last night made me wish I was.

It was my first time seeing GnR, and I was truly blown away. Slash's guitar solo gave me an out of body experience, Duff killed 'I Wanna Be Your Dog,' and Axl was on form the whole way through.

Not gonna lie, I went in with semi-low expectations of how Axl would sound. I mean, he has lived a hell of a life and they’re all getting on now.

Boy, was I wrong... That was hands down my favourite gig I have ever been to. I screamed, I headbanged, I cried, and I couldn’t wipe the smile off my face for the whole three hours and ten minutes.

Axl began the night in a shirt with a pair of sheep on it, before changing into a shirt with a Māori figure sitting by water in traditional wear. He ended the night with the NZ flag proudly spread across his tee. Looooves it.

Let’s go through last night’s setlist, provided by Setlist.FM, shall we?
