Foo Fighters announce their first shows since Taylor Hawkins’ death

They're coming back!

Foo Fighters have announced their very first show since the tragic death of drummer Taylor Hawkins last year.

The band are set to headline at three festivals in the US during their summer - Boston Calling and Sonic Temple in May, followed by Bonnaroo in June.

Kicking it all off on May 26th, Boston Calling will see the Foos headline alongside The Lumineers and Paramore. The band were scheduled to headline the festie back in 2020, but it was cancelled due to the pandemic.

The Foos’ have only performed live twice since the tragic passing of Hawkins - at the special tribute gigs for the drummer

At the end of last year, the band shared a message with fans, confirming they would continue performing without Hawkins, acknowledging that they’ll never be the same band without the beloved late drummer.

“Without Taylor, we never would have become the band that we were – and without Taylor, we know that we’re going to be a different band going forward.”

As guttered as we are that the band had to cancel their NZ shows last year, and as sad as it’ll be not having Taylor on the sticks, we’re bloody stoked that the boys are performing again!
