Jim Beam Homegrown is back in Wellington for another jam-packed day full of some of the best musical talent Aotearoa has to offer, and with five massive stages to get amongst it’s definitely not one to miss!

We’ve got all you need to know if you’re heading down to Wellington’s waterfront this Saturday 18th of March.

* Tip: Download the Jim Beam Homegrown site map HERE and screenshot ahead of time for easy access on event day

We’ll be there too! Be in the first 500 at The Rock stage and you will score a FREE Rock singlet. Don't stress if you're a little late, we'll also have loads of prizes available to win when you give our ROCK SLOTS and BEAT THE BAR a go.

SET TIMES
9.30am - You can exchange your ticket for a festival wristband from this time
1.00pm - Gates open and first acts begin
10.00pm - Last act of the night begins

TICKETS
All tickets will need to be exchanged for a wristband. Doing this before the gates open is best to avoid large crowds upon entry.

Once you have your wristband for the festival it is important to keep it on you at all times as it will act as your entry to each area so you can come and go throughout the day.

TRANSPORT
All festival goers can access free public transport included with their ticket/wristband.

This includes all Metlink buses and trains but excludes cable cars and the Eastbourne ferry.

Homegrown wrote: “If you need clarification on what regions are included, please check out the metlink.org.nz site. This offer is open to Lower Hutt, Upper Hutt, Porirua, the Wairarapa and more!”

Free access will be available during event day and will continue into the after-midnight services on Sunday 19th of March.

CASHLESS EVENT
Jim Beam Homegrown will be a cashless event, however, card payments will be available at all bars and vendors throughout the festival.

Unlike other festivals, there will be no payment systems included on your wristband so make sure you keep your bank card on you at all times.

LIQUOR BAN
All five stages will have bars operating and serving alcohol.

However, the waterfront has a strict liquor ban in place, so keep that in mind when leaving the stages throughout the event day.

If you don’t, you could face a hefty $250 fine, and you definitely don’t want that, so make sure to finish your bevvy before you leave.

Of course, do not bring your own alcohol to the event and keep an eye on your mates!

WHAT CAN YOU BRING
Remember your ID/ Passport - The event is strictly R18
Appropriate clothing and footwear - You’ll be doing a heck of a lot of walking so comfort is key
Empty water bottles - water stations will be available inside the event

DO NOT BRING
Dangerous goods - weapons, umbrellas and collapsable chairs
Drones
