Wait, Did T-Pain just kill a Black Sabbath cover?

He also belts Lenny Kravitz's 'American Woman'.

T-Pain is known for his excessive use of auto-tune, but what if I told you his natural voice is actually crazy good and sounds phenomenal on a rock track?

T-Pain opted to show off his real singing voice for his latest project, 'On Top Of The Covers', breaking away from his signature Auto-Tune sound.

The singer recently released his seventh studio album full of covered tracks from big hitters including Black Sabbath.

A fan of the singer posted a clip of T-Pain rocking his own take on Black Sabbath's 'War Pigs' and he absolutely nailed it.

Another fan uploaded a vid to the app where the singer showcases his talents performing other tracks including Lenny Kravitz's 'American Woman' among other massive tunes.

T Pain has been attacked for years by critics and fellow musicians for what they believed was his lack of ability to sing.

However, in recent years that criticism has faded as his real voice has continued to shine through.

The singer recently revealed to Rolling Stone that the covers project has been years in the making.

The project began back in 2019 after T-Pain won 'The Masked Singer' for covering songs from the likes of Queen and Joan Jett & the Blackhearts.

“This covers album has been years in the making. I started recording this right after I won The Masked Singer,” he said.

“IT GOT PUT ON HOLD FOR A BIT BUT NOW THAT I’M INDEPENDENT, I’M ABLE TO DO WHATEVER I WANT TO DO THROUGH NAPPY BOY ENTERTAINMENT AND THIS IS SOMETHING I’VE FELT STRONGLY ABOUT FOR A LONG TIME.”

While he plans to switch up his sound for a while, T-Pain acknowledges that auto-tune is what led him to success and has always been a big money maker for him.
